As a Screener in a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, conduct screening using x-ray equipment, and complete routine patrols to help reduce security-related incidents. You will stay visible, communicate clearly with team members and visitors, and use computer or tablet tools to document activity. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • X-ray screening experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
  • Screen employees, visitors, and drivers at entry points using approved screening methods, verify identification and authorization, and help to maintain controlled access to the facility.
  • Monitor and document inbound and outbound traffic at gates and/or screening areas, including trucks, trailers, and delivery vehicles, and report irregularities according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarm activations, access issues, and screening concerns, and escalate to site leadership when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, dock areas, and perimeter, and complete required logs and reports per site-specific requirements.
