As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a leading healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will respond to calls for assistance, support staff and visitors with clear communication and customer service, and document observations accurately. Requirements

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Have 2 or more years of service in a healthcare and/or medical-related field.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including calls for assistance, disturbances, and medical-related support requests as directed by post orders.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of corridors, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity for irregularities, verifying identification and/or directing visitors according to site procedures and reporting concerns to the appropriate parties.
  • Complete required reports and logs, document incidents accurately, and communicate status updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts as needed.
