As an Allied Universal Access Control Officer at a chemical and/or petrochemical location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, and support visitor and employee check-in with clear, professional communication. You will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help discourage security-related incidents while delivering strong customer service. Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
At least 1+ years of security experience is required.
A TSA issued TWIC is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to the client by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
Control access at entry points by verifying identification, issuing and retrieving visitor credentials, and directing authorized personnel, contractors, and guests according to site requirements.
Screen and process visitors, deliveries, and contractors by confirming appointments, required authorizations, and destination information, and notifying site contacts as needed.
Monitor access control systems, alarms, and gate equipment, and report irregular conditions to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
Maintain accurate logs and reports for arrivals and departures, vehicle entries, key control activities, and incident-related documentation.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and supporting on-site response teams as directed by post orders.
Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to identify unusual activity, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations.
Support traffic and vehicle flow at gates and checkpoints, including directing commercial vehicles to designated staging areas and verifying shipping and receiving documentation when required.
Participate in drills, briefings, and shift turnovers, and communicate post updates, procedural changes, and observed concerns to incoming personnel.
