Security Officer - Overnight Shift

As a Security Officer - Overnight Shift in Dalton, GA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at an industrial manufacturing location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff and visitors, respond to alarms or access control activity, and document observations. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a manufacturing and industrial location.
- Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns for reporting.
- Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, issue visitor instructions, and maintain visitor and vehicle logs as required by site procedures.
- Complete detailed reports on patrols, incidents, and unusual conditions, and use site systems such as radios, phones, and/or access control tools to support daily operations.
