As an Access Control professional with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas, helping to deter security-related incidents while providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve managing access points, responding to alarms, and assisting visitors and employees. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control or badge experience is preferred.
  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and control access to the location, verifying the credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises according to site-specific policies.
  • Assist in carrying out security-related procedures and protocols relevant to chemical and petrochemical environments.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating issues as required.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activities.
  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by addressing inquiries and offering guidance related to access control and site policies.
  • Document and report all security-related activities, observations, and incidents in accordance with Allied Universal and client requirements.
  • Support emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal protocols and site-specific guidelines.
