About The Position

As a Security Officer in Wilmington, MA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Access Control Officer with Allied Universal, you will help to deter security-related incidents and maintain order within a busy logistics and distribution location. Your responsibilities include monitoring entry points, conducting routine patrols, and remaining visible to support a secure environment. Requirements

Be at least 21 years of age.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and exiting the premises.
Assist with the implementation of site-specific security-related procedures and policies as directed by Allied Universal.
Provide customer service by responding to inquiries and assisting visitors or staff as needed.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and observe for unusual activity.
Document and report security-related incidents, suspicious activity, and/or hazards according to company and client requirements.
Collaborate with local staff and law enforcement as required in the event of emergencies or incidents.
Maintain a visible presence at access control points to help to deter unauthorized entry and provide assistance as needed.
