As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will make routine patrols of yards, docks, and building areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist with access control and visitor guidance. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and support a people-first culture through teamwork, reliability, agility, innovation, and integrity.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including dispatching appropriate notifications to site leadership and/or emergency services as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the warehouse, yard, trailer areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Control access at gates, entrances, and designated checkpoints by verifying identification, monitoring visitor and driver entry, and documenting arrivals and departures per site procedures.
Complete required reports such as patrol logs, incident reports, and shift activity documentation, and communicate relevant observations during shift turnovers.
