You will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help discourage incidents, and document and report security-related activity with clear communication. Requirements

Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical events, fire alarms, suspicious activity, and property damage.
Conduct regular and random patrols of the building, dock areas, parking lots, trailer yards, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
Control access at gates and/or entry points by verifying identification, checking credentials, and directing drivers, employees, and visitors to the correct areas.
Monitor inbound and outbound vehicle and trailer activity, including checking seals and/or load areas when assigned, and reporting irregularities through established channels.
Complete security-related reports and logs such as patrol activity, incident documentation, and shift handoff notes in a clear and timely manner.
Communicate with site contacts and Allied Universal leadership regarding operational issues, hazards, and/or policy concerns, and escalate matters as needed.
Support receiving, shipping, and warehouse operations by managing traffic flow in designated areas and reinforcing client rules related to restricted zones and prohibited items.
