About The Position

St. Stephen Catholic School is seeking a reliable and vigilant full-time Security Officer to ensure the safety and security of our students, staff, and campus. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, monitoring premises, and acting as a visible deterrent to prevent unauthorized access or incidents. The candidate MUST have a certificate from the Guardian Program. Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a Level 2 Background Screening.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Patrol school property, including all buildings and grounds, on foot or in a vehicle.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems.
• Control access to the campus, verifying identification and managing visitor check-in procedures.
• Respond promptly to alarms and emergency situations.
• Observe and report any suspicious activities or safety hazards.
• Complete daily activity logs and detailed incident reports.
• Enforce school safety and security policies in a professional manner.
• Provide a visible, reassuring presence for the school community.
• Assist students, staff, and visitors with directions or information as needed.
