Job Description As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Day Shifts in Northport, AL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service, while documenting observations and reporting concerns. Requirements

  • A guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas such as lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Respond to alarms, calls for assistance, and incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as directed.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify authorization when required, and assist with visitor direction and/or wayfinding while observing for security-related policy violations.
  • Document security-related incidents, observations, and shift activities in reports and logs, and communicate relevant information to the site supervisor and/or client representatives.
