About The Position

As a Security Officer - Healthcare Patrol Day Shifts in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support access points, and help to identify and report security-related concerns. You will stay highly visible, assist staff, patients, and visitors with professional customer service, and communicate clearly with your team. Requirements

  • Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience - preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at a healthcare location by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior areas, parking lots, and perimeter spaces to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify hazards, maintenance issues, and suspicious conditions.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting staff with de-escalation, observing and reporting, and contacting appropriate internal teams and/or public responders.
  • Control access points by monitoring entry and exit, greeting and directing visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization as required, and maintaining visitor logs per site policy.
  • Complete security-related reports and documentation, communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision, and support investigations by preserving observations and providing written statements as needed.
