As a Security Officer - Chemical Access Desk in Port Arthur, TX , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a leading chemical and petrochemical location, you will help to deter security-related incidents by monitoring and patrolling assigned areas. You will manage access points, interact with employees and visitors, and provide exceptional customer service. This is a driving post, so a valid driver's license is required. Requirements

At least 6 months of security-related experience is required.
A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Access control or badge experience is preferred.
A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Monitor and control access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering restricted areas.
Assist with the implementation of security-related procedures and site-specific policies, providing customer service to all personnel and visitors.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols for chemical and petrochemical environments.
Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized access and report any irregularities.
Support emergency response activities as directed, maintaining communication with Allied Universal and site management.
Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and any security-related observations.
Collaborate with onsite personnel to address security-related concerns and provide guidance as needed.
