Job Description As a Security Officer - Full Time Afternoons in Mount Morris, MI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Security Officer with Allied Universal at a tech, media, and telecom location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge checks. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver’s license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. You will provide strong customer service, communicate clearly, and document activity to support a reliable, people-first team.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
Customer service experience is preferred.
CPR and/or First Aid is preferred and may be completed post hire.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a tech, media and/or telecom location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to the appropriate contacts as needed.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity.
Monitor access points and observe for unusual conditions, suspicious behavior and/or hazards, communicating updates to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.
Complete security-related reports such as incident documentation, patrol logs and/or shift activity summaries using approved systems and procedures.
