About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full Time Position in Rolling Meadows, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. You will conduct routine patrols, stay highly visible to help deter security-related incidents, and assist employees and visitors with clear communication and customer service. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a financial services location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
• Monitor alarms, access points, and/or surveillance systems as assigned, and report unusual activity or hazards to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation support and coordination with local responders when needed.
• Complete detailed reports of patrols, incidents, and observations, and maintain accurate logs and required documentation in accordance with site procedures.
