Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a government location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. Requirements

  • A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
  • At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
  • Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and documenting activity in accordance with site protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe conditions requiring attention.
  • Monitor access points, verify credentials where required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
  • Support a professional environment by assisting with visitor directions, answering general questions, and completing detailed incident and activity reports before, during, and after each shift.
