Requirements
- A valid New York State Security Guard License is required.
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Proof of high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Nice To Haves
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a government location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and documenting activity in accordance with site protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout offices, lobbies, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and observe conditions requiring attention.
- Monitor access points, verify credentials where required, and report suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns to the appropriate personnel.
- Support a professional environment by assisting with visitor directions, answering general questions, and completing detailed incident and activity reports before, during, and after each shift.
