Security Officer - Morning Foot Patrol

As a Security Officer - Overnight Foot Patrol in Palm Springs, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support store teams, guests, and associates with professional customer service and clear communication. Requirements
- Have 1+ years of security-related experience.
- A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and guests by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities as directed.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and customer concerns in a calm, problem-solving manner and communicate updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail sales floors, common areas, back-of-house corridors, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, assisting with access control, observing for suspicious behavior, and supporting loss prevention efforts through presence and reporting.
- Complete written and/or electronic reports, document security-related activities and incidents, and coordinate with local law enforcement and/or emergency services when requested by site procedures.
