About The Position

As a Security Officer - Foot Patrol in The Dalles, OR, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help reduce unwanted activity, and conduct routine rounds throughout the site. You will document and report security-related concerns, support access control expectations, and provide professional customer service to employees and visitors. Requirements

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma and/or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and site personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology facility.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site leadership and/or first responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols of interior spaces, loading areas, and exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Control access points by verifying credentials, processing visitors and contractors, managing keys and/or badges as assigned, and documenting authorized entries and exits.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, and access control systems as assigned, complete security-related reports and logs, and communicate unusual conditions to the appropriate parties.
