Requirements

Proven experience as a Security Officer or in a similar role with a reputable firm.
Mandatory completion of a security training course from a recognized institution.
Familiarity with security protocols, management systems and procedures.
Solid understanding of legal guidelines for area security and public safety.
Proficient in the use of modern surveillance equipment and techniques.
Excellent knowledge of reporting and emergency response planning.
Outstanding organizational and leadership skills.
Committed and reliable with high ethical standards and integrity.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Physical stamina to patrol large premises and capability to handle physical confrontations if necessary.
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in security administration or similar field is an advantage.

Responsibilities

Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises to ensure a safe and secure environment.
Monitor surveillance cameras, inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points permitting entry.
Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures.
Control traffic by directing drivers and maintaining logs and documentation of visitors.
Respond to emergencies and alarms by investigating disturbances and contacting law enforcement when necessary.
Compile reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities.
Maintain the organization’s stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.
Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
Support the overall corporate image of safety and security by enforcing regulations and safeguarding company assets.
