As an unarmed Patrol Officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that can help reduce security-related incidents. You will support staff, patients, and visitors through professional communication and customer service, responding to questions and reporting concerns. Requirements

  • Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to staff, patients, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation and requesting additional support from site leadership and/or emergency services when needed.
  • Monitor access points and help control entry by observing visitor flow, directing guests to appropriate areas, and reporting unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activity.
  • Document patrols, incidents, and observations in written reports and communicate relevant information to Allied Universal supervision and site representatives.
