As a Front Desk Officer with Allied Universal at a busy manufacturing and industrial location, you will be the welcoming first point of contact, helping manage access control, visitor check-in, and phone/radio communications. You will monitor alarms and cameras, document security-related activity, and escalate concerns with professionalism and calm. Requirements

  • A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following site-specific policies, completing required logs, and supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Control access to the manufacturing and industrial location by verifying identification, issuing temporary badges as directed, and directing authorized employees, contractors, and visitors to the proper areas.
  • Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and/or other security-related systems from the front desk, and report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to the appropriate contact.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting details, and assisting responding personnel as needed.
  • Manage visitor processing by checking appointments, maintaining sign-in and sign-out records, handling incoming calls, and communicating site rules and expectations in a professional manner.
