Job Description As a Security Officer - Full Time - Experience Required in Chicago, IL , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a dynamic manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing a visible presence. Your role involves conducting routine patrols, delivering outstanding customer service, and maintaining open communication with team members and visitors. Requirements
- At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by following security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as needed.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the manufacturing and industrial location, including the perimeter, to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
- Observe and report any unusual activity or security-related concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points and verifying credentials as required by site policies.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and daily activities.
- Support emergency response efforts, including evacuations and first aid, as directed by site procedures.
- Communicate professionally with clients, visitors, and employees while representing Allied Universal at all times.
