Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital Unarmed in Hilo, HI , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned healthcare locations, remaining visible to help deter security-related incidents and provide exceptional customer service. You will interact with staff, patients, and visitors, supporting a secure environment through routine patrols and strong communication. Requirements
- At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, staff, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare environment.
- Respond to incidents and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and support a secure environment.
- Observe and report any suspicious activities, hazards, or maintenance issues encountered during patrols.
- Collaborate with healthcare personnel and local authorities as required to support security-related operations and emergency situations.
- Maintain detailed and accurate logs or reports of daily activities, incidents, and/or unusual occurrences.
- Assist with access control by monitoring entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help to deter unauthorized entry.
- Follow all Allied Universal and site-specific protocols and procedures while performing assigned duties.
