As a Security Officer Patrol Advocate in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a financial institution location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service. In this role, you will support access awareness, respond to site needs with professionalism, and contribute to a caring, agile, and reliable team that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following site-specific procedures, assisting with access control activities, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location and perimeter, helping to identify unusual activity, unsecured areas, and/or conditions that could require follow-up.
• Monitor entrances, lobbies, and other assigned areas within a financial institution location, verifying credentials when required and directing guests in accordance with site procedures.
• Support day-to-day security-related operations by maintaining a visible presence, communicating with staff and visitors, and/or completing required logs, reports, and other post duties.
