As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using our Claim a Shift platform. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Security Officer in a dynamic tech location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong communication and customer service. In this role, you will contribute to daily operations with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity while helping people feel supported throughout the site.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations prior to employment

Nice To Haves

  • Access control and badge experience is preferred
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred
  • Customer service experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or vendors by carrying out assigned security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a corporate technology location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout office spaces, common areas, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, assisting with badge verification, directional support, and reporting of security-related concerns.
  • Support day-to-day operations by maintaining a visible presence, following post orders, and preparing accurate logs, reports, and/or incident documentation as required.
