As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare campus, you will conduct routine foot and/or vehicle patrols, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, support access control and badge processes, and assist staff, patients, and visitors with clear, professional communication. Requirements

  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, students, staff, patients, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical-related calls for assistance by notifying appropriate personnel and/or emergency services.
  • Monitor access points and authorized entry procedures, assist with visitor check-in direction, and report unauthorized access attempts to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
  • Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations in written reports and/or electronic logs, and communicate noteworthy information during shift transitions.
