About The Position

As a Security Officer – Hospital Overnights in Pittsburgh, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

  • Vaccinations are required for this hospital position.
  • This hospital position involves working in a morgue.
  • This hospital position may require restraining individuals.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, supporting a secure environment within the healthcare location.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential issues.
  • Observe and report security-related incidents, hazards, and/or suspicious activities in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific protocols.
  • Assist with access control by monitoring entry and exit points, verifying credentials, and addressing unauthorized access attempts.
  • Support hospital staff, patients, and visitors by providing directions, answering questions, and assisting with security-related concerns as needed.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate records of patrols, incidents, and/or other relevant activities as required by Allied Universal and site policies.
