As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will help support day-to-day security-related operations by monitoring assigned areas, conducting routine patrols, and maintaining a visible presence at key access points. You will greet visitors and team members, verify access, and communicate clearly with site leadership to help identify and report issues. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

  • Loss Prevention is preferred.
  • Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and deliveries using approved methods such as credential checks, bag and parcel screening, and/or walkthrough screening equipment as required by site policy.
  • Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, documenting entries and exits, issuing visitor credentials when directed, and escalating access concerns through the chain of command.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including reporting suspicious activity and helping to deter unauthorized access or prohibited items.
  • Complete routine documentation such as screening logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observations to site leadership and/or Allied Universal management.
