Security Officer - Office Building - Day Shift

As a Security Officer - Bank Branch Patrol in Riverwoods, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a financial institution location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and provide customer-focused support while following site procedures. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients at a financial institution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to alarms, suspicious activity, and other incidents in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or public service partners as required by post orders.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of lobbies, offices, ATM areas, parking areas, and the building perimeter, documenting observations and reporting maintenance and/or access control concerns.
- Monitor access points, verify identification and/or visitor authorization, and assist with directing employees, visitors, and vendors according to site-specific policies.
- Complete detailed patrol logs and incident reports, communicate key information during shift turnover, and follow Allied Universal and client-specific reporting requirements.
