As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a government location, you will conduct routine foot patrols, remain highly visible, and help to deter incidents by identifying and reporting suspicious activity and/or hazards. You will support access control, respond to incidents, and document security-related events with clear, professional communication. Requirements

Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
At this site there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government transportation location.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating with site personnel and/or public agency partners as directed.
Conduct regular and random patrols of stations, platforms, entrances, mezzanines, stairwells, elevators and/or surrounding perimeter areas as assigned.
Observe and report suspicious activity, unauthorized access and/or policy violations to help to deter prohibited conduct and support orderly operations.
Assist with access control by monitoring doors, gates and restricted areas, checking credentials when required and directing visitors and contractors to the proper check-in process.
Provide visible presence and customer assistance by offering directions, answering general questions and helping manage lines and/or crowd flow when requested.
Complete patrol logs, incident reports and daily activity documentation using required paper and/or electronic systems.
Support emergency and service disruptions by following post orders, assisting with area notifications and helping guide members of the public to designated locations as directed.
Operate communications equipment such as radios and/or phones to relay accurate information and request assistance when needed.
