As an Access Control Security Officer with Allied Universal at a busy cargo and logistics location, you will help manage entry and exit points, verify credentials, maintain visitor and vehicle logs, and monitor activity to help support a secure environment. You will conduct routine patrols, remain highly visible, and respond to security-related concerns with clear communication and customer service. Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, drivers, and personnel by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Control access at entrances and checkpoints by verifying identification, credentials, and/or visitor authorization; issue visitor passes and maintain accurate access logs.
- Support outbound and inbound shipping and receiving operations by directing traffic flow at gates, coordinating with site contacts, and monitoring for unauthorized entry.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting events and notifying site management and/or emergency services as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around buildings, loading areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
