About The Position

As a Security Officer Full-Time Patrol Overnights in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. You will support access awareness, deliver outstanding customer service and communication, and represent a team that is agile, reliable, and innovative, with a caring culture that puts people first and acts with integrity.

Requirements

  • Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
  • Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
  • Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels when needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
  • Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help support authorized entry, visitor processing, and compliance with site rules and posted requirements.
  • Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or public agency representatives as appropriate.
