About The Position

As a Security Officer Full-Time Patrol Overnights in New York, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a government location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents. Requirements

Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Customer service experience is preferred.
Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, escalating concerns through proper channels when needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, entrances, common areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
Monitor access points and observe activity within the location to help support authorized entry, visitor processing, and compliance with site rules and posted requirements.
Prepare clear and accurate reports of incidents, observations, and/or daily activities, and communicate relevant information to supervisors, staff, and/or public agency representatives as appropriate.
