About The Position

As a Security Officer Credential Verification in South Chesterfield, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will help monitor access points, screen visitors and deliveries, and support day-to-day security-related operations. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in loss prevention is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Experience with access control and badge systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out site-specific procedures, screening protocols, and/or emergency response activities at a busy distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, vendors, and/or deliveries entering or leaving the location by checking identification, credentials, and authorized access documentation.
• Monitor entry points, shipping and receiving areas, and/or designated screening stations to help support security-related procedures and report unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents, policy concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business and perimeter, with attention to access points, trailer yards, loading areas, and other operational spaces as assigned.
