About The Position

As a Security Officer - Full-Time Healthcare Patrol in New York, NY , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and building perimeter, watching for unusual activity and/or policy concerns and reporting observations per post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and requests for assistance in a calm, problem-solving manner, including supporting staff with de-escalation and coordinating with clinical teams and/or local responders as directed.
• Help maintain orderly access by monitoring entrances, verifying identification and/or visitor credentials as required, and directing patients and visitors to the appropriate destination.
• Document security-related activities, incidents, and patrol findings using written reports and/or electronic systems, and communicate timely updates to site leadership per established procedures.
