As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a dynamic education location, you will conduct routine foot patrols across buildings and outdoor areas, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and support access control with courteous directions and clear communication. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and collaborate with campus partners while representing Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, and a people-first culture grounded in teamwork and integrity.
Requirements
- Have 2+ years of Security Experience.
- Be 21+ Years of Age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

- Access Control/Badge Experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors by carrying out Allied Universal and site-specific procedures, access control, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, residence areas, parking facilities, and perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
- Respond to alarms, calls for service, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, assisting with evacuations, and coordinating with campus resources and/or local responders as directed.
- Monitor entrances, lobbies, and common areas as assigned, verify identification and/or authorization when required, and report unauthorized persons, suspicious activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
- Complete incident reports, patrol logs, and other documentation; communicate observations and status updates to supervisors and/or site contacts using radios, phones, and/or computer systems.
