As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control by checking badges and visitor credentials, communicate clearly with site teams, and deliver customer-focused service. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Client requires proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a utilities location.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following post orders and escalation protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, equipment areas, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
- Control access to designated areas by monitoring entry points, verifying identification and/or authorization when required, and directing visitors to appropriate contacts.
- Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate security-related concerns to site representatives and Allied Universal leadership.
