Job Description As a Security Officer - Hospital in Long Beach, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy healthcare location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support patients, visitors, and staff with strong customer service, clear communication, and prompt assistance. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • CPR Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Handcuffing Certification is preferred and may be completed post hire.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with clinical staff and/or local responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the healthcare location, including entrances, lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter routes; working environments and conditions may vary by assignment.
  • Monitor access points and observe for unusual activity, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership in a timely manner to help to deter unwanted behavior.
  • Complete required reports and logs, assist with incident documentation, and communicate updates during shift change to support continuity of security-related operations.
