As a Security Officer - Education Front Lobby in Radnor, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer with Allied Universal at a dynamic education-focused location, you will be the first point of contact for visitors, students, and staff. Your role involves monitoring entry points, assisting guests, and providing outstanding customer service. By maintaining a professional presence and communicating clearly, you help to deter security-related incidents and contribute to a welcoming environment where people feel supported and respected.

Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff at the front desk by carrying out security-related procedures and following site-specific policies.
  • Monitor access to the location, verifying identification and credentials of individuals entering and/or exiting the premises.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of daily activities, incidents, and visitor information as required by site procedures.
  • Assist with emergency response activities as directed, maintaining a professional presence at the front desk.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and Allied Universal management regarding security-related matters.
