As an unarmed, driving Patrol Officer at a busy chemical and petrochemical location, you will complete routine mobile and on-foot patrols, remain highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and respond to calls for service with clear communication and strong customer service. You will document observations, support access control processes, and work as part of a team that acts with integrity while staying agile, reliable, innovative, and people-first.

Requirements

A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Proof of high school diploma or GED is required.
Customer service experience is preferred.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by following Allied Universal and site-specific security-related procedures, access guidelines, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including notifying site contacts and/or public responders as directed by post orders.
Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, tank farms, warehouses, offices, and perimeter fencing, as conditions allow.
Monitor and control access at gates and/or checkpoints by verifying identification, issuing visitor credentials, checking delivery documentation, and directing traffic to approved locations.
Observe operations for unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or policy violations, then report findings promptly to site leadership and Allied Universal management.
Complete routine security-related logs, patrol documentation, and incident reports with clear, accurate details in accordance with site requirements.
Support emergency procedures such as evacuation routes, muster point direction, and accountability processes as instructed by post orders.
Assist with screening of packages, vehicles, and/or equipment entering or leaving the location when required by site policy and assignment instructions.
