As a Security Officer , you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of both guests and team members, while contributing to a secure and peaceful environment throughout the hotel property. Your attention to detail and proactive approach will support our goal of achieving Forbes 5-Star status by creating a safe and welcoming atmosphere where guests feel at ease. As a Security Officer, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

Requirements

  • Valid FLSD – COF – T89 License is required.
  • A keen eye for detail with the ability to identify potential security risks and safety hazards quickly and accurately.
  • A proactive, vigilant approach to maintaining a secure environment while still delivering friendly and professional guest service.
  • Ability to handle high-pressure situations calmly and efficiently, ensuring a safe outcome.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact with both guests and team members in a courteous and professional manner.
  • A refined demeanor with the ability to engage guests in a genuine, approachable, and calm manner, ensuring they feel secure and valued.
  • A commitment to confidentiality, professionalism, and high ethical standards.
  • Ability to work independently, showing initiative and responsibility in managing security-related tasks and incidents.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA General Industry Authorized Trainer certification preferred.
  • CLSD (Certified Loss Prevention Specialist) certification preferred.
  • CPP (Certified Protection Professional) certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Patrol both the interior and exterior of the hotel property, observing and identifying potential safety and security risks, as well as any undesirable conditions.
  • Respond promptly to emergency situations, including safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies, and threats to life or property, ensuring a calm and efficient resolution.
  • Promote and enforce safe work practices for both team members and guests to maintain a secure environment.
  • Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents, ensuring all details are gathered accurately.
  • Write detailed reports and ensure the accuracy of necessary documentation, maintaining thorough records.
  • Address and resolve guest inquiries, concerns, and requests in a timely, friendly, and professional manner, always engaging with guests with refinement and a genuine interest in their safety and comfort.
  • Anticipate and address guest security needs in a discreet, proactive manner, ensuring a seamless experience.
