As a Screener at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help monitor access points, conduct screening of people and items, complete routine patrols, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with team members and visitors, support smooth operations, and deliver a respectful customer service experience. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Be able to lift more than 20 pounds, preferred.
  • Have X-ray screening experience, preferred.
  • Have loss prevention experience, preferred.
  • Have customer service experience, preferred.
  • Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, drivers and/or visitors by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Operate screening checkpoints at a logistics and distribution location by checking identification and/or access authorization, directing foot traffic, and maintaining orderly entry and exit processes.
  • Conduct personnel and property screening using approved methods and equipment such as walk-through metal detectors, hand wands and/or x-ray systems as required by post orders.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound activity including packages, parcels and/or shipments for irregularities, complete required logs, and report concerns to site leadership per procedure.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications, documenting events, and supporting first responders as directed.
