About The Position

As a Security Officer - Welcome Desk in Woonsocket, RI, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As a Front Desk Security Officer in a healthcare location, you will greet visitors, manage access points, issue badges, and monitor cameras and alarms to help support a secure environment. You will communicate clearly with staff and guests, document security-related activity, and respond to calls for assistance with professionalism and care. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Manage access control for a healthcare location by greeting visitors, issuing visitor badges, maintaining sign-in and/or sign-out logs, and directing individuals to appropriate areas per site policy.
  • Monitor cameras, alarm panels, and other systems from the front desk to help to deter unauthorized entry and/or suspicious activity, and report concerns per post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting on-site staff, emergency services, and/or Allied Universal leadership as required.
  • Complete shift documentation such as activity reports, incident reports, and pass-down notes, and communicate status updates to incoming personnel and site contacts.
