About The Position
As a Security Officer - Atrium Welcome Desk in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Front Desk Officer at an education location, where you will be the welcoming first point of contact for students, staff, and visitors. You will manage access control, verify credentials, monitor cameras and alarms, document incidents, and communicate clearly to help identify and help to deter security-related concerns. Requirements
- Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service at the front desk by following Allied Universal security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to an education location.
- Control access by greeting visitors, verifying identification and/or authorization, issuing temporary credentials as directed, and directing guests to the proper destination.
- Monitor front desk activity and security-related systems such as cameras, alarms, and visitor logs, and report suspicious or unusual activity to site leadership and/or emergency responders.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Support administrative security-related tasks such as answering phones, maintaining logs and reports, coordinating deliveries and lost and found items, and communicating policy reminders to staff, students, and visitors.
