As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a busy logistics and distribution location, you will help support a secure environment by conducting routine patrols, staying visible to help deter security-related incidents, and reporting observations with clear communication. You will assist with access control, monitor activity, and respond to service calls with a calm, customer-focused approach, bringing integrity, teamwork, and reliability to every shift.

Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of warehouse areas, docks, staging lanes, parking areas, and the exterior perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
  • Control access by monitoring entrances, gates, and loading areas, verifying identification and/or shipping documentation as required, and directing visitors, drivers, and vendors to the proper check-in process.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting site leadership and/or emergency services when appropriate and assisting with scene management until relieved.
  • Complete reports and maintain logs of patrols, access activity, alarms, and incidents, and communicate timely updates to supervisors and site contacts.
