As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, document observations, and respond to requests with a customer service mindset. Requirements

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including contacting appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor access points and assist with visitor screening, wayfinding, and de-escalation support as needed, while respecting patient privacy and facility guidelines.
  • Complete required reports such as incident reports, shift logs, and patrol documentation, and communicate relevant updates to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.
