You will conduct routine foot and vehicle patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and assist with access points and visitor flow while documenting activity using a computer or tablet. Requirements

• Have at least 6+ months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

• A guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, drivers, and visitors by following site-specific procedures, access requirements, and emergency response activities for a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouses, yards, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor inbound and outbound traffic at gates and/or designated checkpoints, verifying credentials and directing vehicles to appropriate staging and loading areas per site policy.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating timely updates to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.
• Document patrol activity, observations, and incident details in written and/or electronic reports, and report equipment issues or facility conditions that may impact security-related operations.
