About The Position

As a Security Officer Warehouse Screening Associate in Gaithersburg, MD, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Screener at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will monitor entry points, conduct screening procedures, and support daily operations through visible presence, strong communication, and attentive observation. Requirements

• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities within a busy logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, visitors, packages, and/or personal property entering or leaving the location in accordance with post orders and client-directed screening protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observed conditions through appropriate channels.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials or shipping-related documentation as directed, and help to deter unauthorized access to restricted areas.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and perimeter, noting operational or security-related concerns as working conditions vary throughout the site.
