About The Position

As a Security Officer Screening Associate in Shreveport, LA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, vendors, and/or employees by carrying out site-specific screening procedures, access protocols, and other security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen individuals, personal items, packages, and/or vehicles entering or leaving designated areas in accordance with post instructions and documented procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or unusual activity in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate observations to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned interior and exterior areas, including entry points, dock areas, and perimeter locations, while reporting maintenance concerns and/or suspicious activity.
• Complete required logs, screening records, and incident documentation with attention to detail, and support emergency response activities when appropriate.
