About The Position

As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading tech and media location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and remain visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will document observations, communicate clearly with staff and visitors, and respond to alarms and other site needs. Requirements

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

  • Alarm panel experience is preferred.
  • A guard card/license is preferred.
  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout office, data and telecom areas, parking lots, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
  • Monitor access points and interior spaces, verify identification and/or visitor credentials as required, and report irregularities according to post orders.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including medical situations, fire alarms, and/or suspicious activity, and notify appropriate personnel.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation, including patrol logs, incident reports, and observations, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.
