As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal in a retail location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas to help deter security-related incidents while providing an approachable presence for guests and staff. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible throughout the property, and deliver exceptional customer service. Requirements

At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Nice To Haves

Loss prevention experience is preferred.
Experience with access control and/or badge systems is preferred.
Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Experience with X-ray screening is preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner to help maintain order within the retail or mall location.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail or mall premises and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to monitor for potential issues.
Observe and report any suspicious activity, hazards, or incidents to the appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
Support access control by monitoring entrances and exits, helping to verify identification or credentials as required by site policy.
Assist with crowd management and/or line control during peak hours or special events within the location.
Work collaboratively with Allied Universal team members and client staff to address concerns and provide a welcoming environment for all patrons.
