About The Position

As a Security Officer - Warehouse Guard in Maple Grove, MN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Security Officer supporting an access control post at a fast-paced logistics and distribution location, you will greet and screen visitors, manage badge and key control, and verify credentials at entry points. You will conduct patrols of assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help reduce security-related incidents, and document activity with clear communication. Requirements

  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution facility.
  • Control access at entry points by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, issuing access credentials as directed, and maintaining access logs.
  • Monitor inbound and outbound traffic, including trucks and delivery vehicles, by confirming appointments, coordinating with site contacts, and following site procedures for gate entry and staging.
  • Observe and report suspicious activity, access concerns, and policy violations, responding to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Use approved communication and reporting methods to document incidents, access activity, and unusual conditions, and escalate concerns to site management and/or Allied Universal leadership as needed.
